A learning environment where we focus on the whole child.

Our classrooms are intentionally small, so our learning approach can be personalized while still holding strong academic standards.

Our Approach

At In The Moment Microschool, we believe that children learn best when they are seen, supported, and challenged. Our approach combines personalized, rigorous academics with meaningful experiences that support the development of the whole child.

Personalized Learning

We believe education should meet children where they are while helping them move forward. Students receive individualized support and work toward academic goals based on their current skills and progress.

Rigorous, Meaningful Academics

Our instruction is designed to provide a strong academic foundation while keeping learning engaging and purposeful. We align our instruction with Texas TEKS to help students build the knowledge and skills needed for future academic success and a smooth transition into other educational settings when needed.

Small Learning Communities

Small class sizes allow for stronger relationships between students and educators. Our teachers are able to provide more individualized attention, observe student progress closely, and create a learning environment where children feel seen and supported.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

We believe meaningful learning does not only happen at a desk. Students have opportunities to explore, create, collaborate, and learn through hands-on experiences and time outdoors. Nature-based experiences are incorporated into our learning environment to encourage curiosity, independence, and connection with the world around them.

Supporting the Whole Child

Academic growth is only one part of a child’s development. We also value social-emotional growth, confidence, independence, communication, and problem-solving. Our goal is to help students develop not only as learners but as capable, confident individuals.

Mixed-Age Learning

At In The Moment Microschool, students learn in small, mixed-age classrooms that provide opportunities for collaboration, mentorship, and individualized growth. Rather than defining a child’s learning solely by their age or grade level, we recognize that students develop academically, socially, and emotionally at different rates.

Our mixed-age learning environment allows students to learn alongside peers of varying ages and abilities while receiving instruction and support appropriate to their individual needs. Older students can develop leadership and mentoring skills, while younger students benefit from observing and learning alongside more experienced peers.

This approach also encourages collaboration over competition and helps students build meaningful relationships across age groups. Through small-group instruction and personalized learning goals, students are able to receive targeted academic instruction while still benefiting from a connected learning community.
